About Us
Rehab To Racing is a partnership that specializes in individualized training for athletes who want personalized attention. We develop training schedules that fit into the rest of your life. Our medical and physical therapy-trained specialty coaches assist the injured athlete reach a definitive diagnosis and find a path to recovery that minimizes interruption of training.
If you are a more mature athlete, we have special interest and experience in helping you achieve athletic success while avoiding the obstacles imposed by the aging process. If you are looking for a holistic approach to integrate your athletic training will all other aspects of your life, we can assist you in finding that balance.

Rob has been a long and ultra distance triathlete for more than a decade. He trains and coaches in the Northern Virginia area. He has done over 70 triathlons including 8 IM distance races. Rob is a certified personal trainer, USAT certified coach, directs R2R’s cycling training program, and supervises all Ironman training. Rob also helps R2R athletes develop personalized strength and balance training programs to meet your individual needs. |
Stephanie Colburn |

Steph directs the R2R Life Coaching Program. She is a long distance runner with over 10 years of experience and has been racing triathlon for several years. She is a Pilates expert, certified personal trainer, and USAT Certified Triathlon Coach. She brings her considerable education and background in metaphysics to provide holistic help those using athletic pursuits to achieve a more integrated lifestyle. In addition, if you want to look good crossing the finish line, then she is your consultant of choice. |
Mary DeLaney, PT |

Mary has been a Physical Therapist for over 30 years, working in Orthopedics, Sports Medicine, and Women’s Health. She has been a runner for 30 years and a triathlete for 12 years. In 2004 she was the Long Course Triathlon National Age Group Champion and in 2008 she was ranked #2 in the VTS. She has represented the US on Team USA at the Long Course Triathlon World Championships. Mary specializes in the biomechanical analysis of your running and biking technique. |
Allen DeLaney, MD, ME |

Allen is a Board Certified physician with 30 years of acute care experience. He recently retired as the Medical Director of a large orthopedic practice. He has been a runner for 40 years and a triathlete for 12 years. Al was an age group winner at the St. Croix ½ IM triathlon and a Hawaii Ironman qualifier in 2004. He has twice been chosen as a member of Team USA for Long Course Triathlon. Uniquely qualified, Allen combines his skill as a medical practitioner and the understanding of a highly competitive athlete to assist you in solving your most stubborn injury problems. |
